What happened that requires you to reinstall DNS?
Is your DNS server an AD DC? If it is a DC, and you only have one DC, then I really don't recommend uninstalling then reinstalling it.
If you can describe the problems you are seeing with DNS, maybe we can assist to help fix the DNS problems instead of reinstalling DNS.

Its because Windows OS's are made out of cow shit. I also have a 2012 server and BOTH DHCP and DNS Roles fucking shit themselves after 6 fucking updates you fuck head pushed out, for no fucking reason.
Both can no longer write reg values, it absolutely fucking insane MS let this happen to an OS.
