I have this set up on another PC but can't remember ho to do it. I can easily create an admin cmd shortcut and even pin it to the task bar. But when I try to pin to start menu it's just a normal cmd window

- Click on Start->All Apps->Windows System
- Right click on command prompt->More->Open File Location
- Right Click on the Command Prompt shortcut->Properties->Advanced and put a check mark on "Run As Administrator", click OK
- Right click on it->Pin it to Start Menu or task bar. It should run as Admin.

It doesn’t have to be pinned, right-click Start and choose Command Prompt (Admin). I find this neater than cluttering the Task bar or Start menu.

i think its easier pined to the taskbar. i only have
File explorer,, Firefox, chrome, CMD pinned. so its not much clutter and its a faster way to access it as i use it often. maybe op uses it often as well.

Thank you for that effective information. Relieved me of a lot of frustration now that I get to admin cmd from the task bar.
