Hi all,
i've a problem with SCCM. If i run an msi manually as machine administrator it exit with 3010 but on sccm the same msi return 1641 ad it make reboot the system.

Those are both successful installation methods. 1641 simply means "The requested operation completed successfully. The system will be restarted so the changes can take effect" and 3010 means "The requested operation is successful. Changes will not be effective until the system is rebooted."
Thus one is initiating the reboot automatically, and the other is waiting for the user to reboot. The difference is in the switches or properties you've set when calling the MSI.

Hi,
As Jason pointed out, 1641 and 3010 are both ERROR_SUCCESS, rather than failure codes.

If you don't want the machine to reboot you can define a custom rule for the exit code, check the properties of the application within Configuration Manager.

Error code 1641 means hard reboot,
are you looking to avoid that hard reboot or just understand the error code difference?
