Hi Nilesh,
I don't encounter this error message with a domain admin account when I am testing in my lab.
I suggest you log off then log back on to test.
If the issue persists, please use another domain admin account to see whether it works.
In addition, ensure that the account currently logged on is a member of local administrators on the server named STAF12R2CVM2.winvm.com.
Best Regards,
Amy

Hi Nilesh,
Based on my research, to successfully create a cluster, either the installer must have the privileges needed to create computer objects in the default container for computers, or a computer object must be pre-created by a domain administrator.

Amy's answer is correct regarding MSCS, also confirm you have admin rights to the server as well.

Hi Nilesh,
Firstly, please run command whoami to confirm that the current logged on user is a domain administrator.
After that, ensure the server’s local administrators group does contain the Domain Admins group.

Amy

Thanks for posting and asking this question
I am having this exact same issue. I tried everything that has been suggested in this thread and same result.
I've been looking in different forums and I can't find a single post confirming that they were able to overcome the problem.
Did you finally get this resolved? How?

Check your time service on both nodes, sync with DC.

That was exactly the issue I was facing. After syncing time with DC I was able to join a new node to a cluster. Thank you.

Hi,
I got the same issue in windows 2012 R2 before.
Allow me to share my experiences.
- Ensure the server’s administrators group contains the domain admin account
- Use Full computer name with domain for adding new node.
(E.g. Full computer name: mypc.mydc , Domain: mydc)

Gibson

I got same issue also. I can add the server named Server1 that I am logged onto but not my other 2 servers, Server2 and Server3. Then I can log onto Server2 and can add that server to the cluster but not Server1 that I just logged off of. I am running Windows 2012 Datacenter editions on my servers.

Thanks Dear Thomas..
problem :you do not have administrative priviliges on the server
Solutions that i have tried.
rejoin domain
reinstall cluster roles on all nodes
permission added on all computers and users but issue was still same.
resolved after change time zone as exact to Domain controller.
