We have user request to be able to co-edit document and share calendar with external users.
My understanding is MS Teams can share document with external users but don't know how. Calendar may not be available in Teams.
Appreciate any tips!

Yes,you could edit it at the same time.

Hi QuickLaunch,
If you want to share with people outside your team, if you use word ,Excel or PowerPoint file open the file with the appropriate Office app and click Share towards the top right corner of the window (Note : please click the permissions drop-down (right above where you add the people you want to share with) and select that Specific People can access the file.),you could refer to this link.
Share Calendar with external users ,this feature cannot be available in Teams,but Office 365 group calendar in teams this function will coming soon.

The best way is to add the external user as Guest user for your tenant, that way he can be added to the Team and work with any content within the Team. Read here: /en-us/microsoftteams/guest-access

I realized the company did not enable ability to share with external users in our tenant.
Currently when I user share function, the email address has to get a match in our AD, it does not allow external email address

Once file is shared with external person, we can edit on the file at same time?
