Question

Hello Dear Friends,

I am looking to deploy and install  Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 using click to run method.

In every where there are documentation and examples about Click To Run on Office 365 Professional Plus.

I am curios if some one succeeded to install Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 using click to run method, and could be nice to share some guides or information about it.

Thanks In Advance,

Ariel Wainberg.

Hi Ariel,

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 is a volume licensing version of Office, which only provides Office Professional Plus 2016 in MSI format. You cannot install Office Professional Plus 2016 using click-to-run technology.

This is frustrating to say the least. I have Office 2016 Professional and Visio 2019.

I cannot install Visio due to the C2R and MSI installers being on the same machine. So where is the fix? MS can't expect me to purchase more software just because they cannot write software that is compatible.

I also don't understand why you can't have different installers? who cares how it installs? We just want to use the software we have purchase. Its a standalone peice of software so why is Visio looking at other software installed.
