Can we install office clients like word, excel or Visio on Azure VMs. If yes, what is the process to install it. Is Microsoft will do it scheduled manner or we need to perform manually.
Thanks

Hi Vive;
Thank you for your post.
Here are a couple of scenarios :
a. If you have already purchased the product key but dont have a cd, you could also try downloading office from this site https://downloadoffice.getmicrosoftkey.com/
b. If you have the Office Setup.exe file of the office on you local machine you can share the drive (giving you access to the folder ) via RDP and install office to the VM.
c. Or you could load the file to a VHD, upload it to a storage account, then use the disc as secondary storage and then install it to the VM
d. If you do have an office cd you can copy the content of the CD to VHD and follow step c.
For Microsoft Visio :: Note that Microsoft now has an official set of Azure Symbols and Shapes at http://aka.ms/AzureSymbols
These are all the steps you could try hope this helps.
Warm Regards;

Hi Prasant,
I require Excel for my developers to use for application development purpose. My organization uses MAHS subscription and need to install Excel in to the Azure Win VMs(Dev and Prod environments). Which Office 365 product is best suitable? Office 365 Bus Essentials?
