Wake-On-Lan in Windows 10 Home

Question

Wednesday, August 28, 2019 11:08 AM

I'm trying to activate WOL on a fanless mini PC (Beelink BT3 Pro) equipped with Windows 10 Home Edition version  1803 (OS build 1734.950).

In "Device Manager" under properties of the network adapter I cannot find the "Power Management" tab, usually found on other OS. Is this meaning I cannot use the Magic Packets to wake up the PC?

I believe your device or network adaptor does not support Wake on Lan, you need check this with the device manufacturer. Since it has Home Edition, the device might not be ready for enterprise scenario.

Other device with Windows 10 can find Power Management in Device Manager, such as mine… it’s not a Windows 10 issue.

You need to contact the manufacturer support to check if this fanless mini PC’s network adapter supports Wake-On-Lan, if not, you couldn’t use the Magic Packets to wake up the PC.
