Warranty Tracking

Question

Friday, May 8, 2020 1:12 AM

With a prior RMM, we leveraged an integration with a service called Warranty Master that would use the serial number for each device to lookup data like Purchase Date and Warranty Expiration Date, then write that data into the RMM. Very helpful when working with customers on refreshing devices. I'm hopeful my team can find a method to do this with Microsoft Intune, but thus far they've been unsuccessful. Suggestions?

There is nothing built-in to do this in Intune. You can do something with Azure logic apps and Intune like https://gregramsey.net/2020/04/27/updating-servicenow-with-hardware-asset-data-using-logic-apps/

Currently we don’t have the function of warranty tracking in Intune, but I think you can vote the following ticket on the Microsoft Intune UserVoice to address and advance this problem. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customer feedback. We strive to capture any negative reviews in order to ensure that we are continuously improving our products to meet our customers' needs. With your efforts, we are committed to improving our products.
