Saving PDFs files directly to sharepoint

Hi, I want to know if there's a way to save PDF files directly to sharepoint ?

It depends on the version you have. In Acrobat 9 pro you have no SharePoint integration. This will come with Adobe Acrobat X. The screenshot provided below was made in Adobe Acrobat Reader X and there it asks for the content type.

With Acrobat 9 you have to change the Content Type in SharePoint afterwards.

You can upload the pdf to SharePoint directly from your pdf application of your choice.

You need to open the file dialog, copy the url to the document library where you want to save the pdf and hit enter.

This will open the SharePoint Library from the server the add a file name and the file should be stored in SharePoint.

From Word, Excel or PowerPoint this can be done the same way too.

Hi, I have Acrobat 9 pro and tried to do what you said but every time I do file save as I don't see the full path of the file to use for pasting. Am I missing a step? How can I save directly from Acrobat 9 Pro?

Hi, first copy the full path to the document library from your browser. For example http://yourserver/Documents/ (Without the view aspx)

• The hit enter
• after that define a file name and Save.

Ok, but if I have content types for that specific library I'm trying to save will the suggestion below have sharepoint ask me for the content type before saving directly? Just like it does when trying to save files from excel or word.
