Question

When are you publishing MBSA for Windows 10?  If not then what are you replacing this with?  MBSA is needed more than ever now.

Yes, you can download it.

But, NO, it does not work "fine".

It has incorrect answers in multiple areas.  For example, it doesn't know about Windows 10 updates and doesn't think I have the computer configured for automatic updates, but I do.  etc.

So, it is better than nothing.   But do I trust it to give correct answers.  No.

You can download and install Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer 2.3 (for IT Professionals). It works fine on Windows 10.

I've been using MBSA for years on Windows 7 x64 and for the last several months on Windows 10 x64.  I'm using MBSA 2.3.  I have to run it offline because the PCs I manage are not connected to the Internet.  Therefore I manually download the "WSUSSCN2.CAB" file monthly and run MBSA offline to check for needed updates.  Starting in January 2018 and now in February, the MBSA results are not identifying missing Windows 7 or Windows 10 updates except for KB890830.  Needed Office updates are identified, just not operating system updates.  Can anyone tell me what's going on?  I need to be able to reliably identify missing Microsoft operating system updates on the offline PCs.  Thank you.

Might be that you need to add the qualitycompat registry key to your systems. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4072699/january-3-2018-windows-security-updates-and-antivirus-software

I run MBSA 2.3 on WSRV2016 and it work fine with older systems but when check Win10, WSRV2016 and Office2016 it says that version is not known.

For Office2016 I get message that there is no Office product installed.

Does it have anything to do with QualityCompat registry key???

Thank you in advance.

See /en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/mbsa-removal-and-guidance

It has been removed completely.
