How to remove toll number from Teams meeting invitation

Question

Friday, January 10, 2020 7:11 PM

We have two numbers on all our Teams meeting invitations, a local Toll number and a 877 Toll Free.

We do NOT want the local Toll number to show in the invitation, we want to remove it and ONLY have the 877 Toll Free number for dialing into Teams meetings.

I cant see how to do this in the Teams management console, is it possible? Can we do it with powershell? is there a policy somewhere that dictates what is in the meeting invitations?

Thanks!

I'm not sure you can, as not every country has toll-free numbers. In any case, the steps to change it are here: /en-us/microsoftteams/change-the-phone-numbers-on-your-audio-conferencing-bridge#step-3change-the-default-phone-numbers-that-are-included-in-the-meeting-invites-of-users-optional

Hi pgrizard,

Above all, you should check the toll-free dialing limitations and restrictions of your country or region. For more information, please refer to: /en-us/microsoftteams/toll-free-dialing-limitations-and-restrictions

If your country has this feature, you can do as Vasil L. Michev said.

Sign in Microsoft 365 admin center > Admin centers > Teams > Legacy portal > Audio conferencing > Users, select the users on the list > Edit > Under Default toll number or Default toll-free number, select the number in the list and click Save.

Moreover, you can use the following commands to change the default toll-free number for a user or all users:

Set-CsOnlineDialinConferencingUser

Set-CsOnlineDialInConferencingUserDefaultNumber

You can refer to the documents to execute the commands as below:

/en-us/powershell/module/skype/Set-CsOnlineDialInConferencingUser?redirectedfrom=MSDN&view=skype-ps

/en-us/powershell/module/skype/set-csonlinedialinconferencinguserdefaultnumber?view=skype-ps
