Is the script in the title written for Exchange 2016? I've seen conflicting information on that; some websites say those scripts are only for previous versions of Exchange, but the date stamps on the website pre-date Exchange 2016.
If not, what is the correct way to reboot a DAG member server (I.E. for monthly patching)? We're migrating to 2016 and on 2010 I've been doing the following:
1) Run StartDagServerMaintenance.ps1 and wait for it to complete
2) Verify no active mailbox databases on the target server
3) Restart the target server
4) when it comes up and appears ready, run StopDagServerMaintenance.ps1
5) run RedistributeActiveDatabases.ps1

Hi,
As per my knowledge, the scripts StartDagServerMaintenance.ps1, StopDagServerMaintenance.ps1 and RedistributeActiveDatabases.ps1 are still available in Exchange 2016.
I got the following screenshot from my Exchange 2016 lab:
Moreover, apart from running the above scripts, we should also place the server into maintenance mode by setting the server component state, flush the transport queues and suspend client connectivity. For more details, see the Performing maintenance on DAG members in Managing database availability groups.
Hope it helps.
Regards,
Manu Meng

1) your screenshot didn't come through.
2) I didn't ask if they were still available, I asked if the scripts are specifically written/coded for the 2016 version.

1. The screenshot just shows the scripts still exist in the "Scripts" folder of the Exchange installation path.
2. Yes, it is applied to Exchange 2016.
