Hi,

How to remove skype for business to automatically start on log on for all users. I have tried changing the registry from HKCU as shown in the figure but it only worked for the current user .is there any way to prevent Skype for business to automatically start on log on for all users from office customization tool . when ever Skype is launched form a new logged on user the registry is created freshly for that user and default registry setting is applied.

Hello Abhishek,

You may use below to achieve this

Manual method:

Open Skype for Business client ->file->tools->Options->Personal.

Remove check mark: Automatically start the app when I log on to Windows and Start the app in the foreground.

Automatic method or workaround: [No easy way to do this]

Just add a registry key delete item entry to the group policy preference pointing to 'HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run' for the key 'lync'. Whenever the policy gets refreshed either during logon or during Group Policy refresh interval, it will remove the entry no matter how many times the users set the auto-launch through the GUI.
