Start menu, wifi menu and notification bar is not working in windows 10

Question

hii Guys,

Start menu is not working in windows 10. Already tried below mentioned steps to make it work but failed

1. Launch Task manager

Press the **[Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del] **keys on the keyboard at the same time, or right click the Taskbar, and select Task manager.

2. Run Windows PowerShell

When the Run new task dialog box opens, type powershell, tick the box forCreate this task with administrative privileges and click OK.

4. Run the System File Checker

Type sfc /scannow into the window and press the [Return] key. The scan may take some time and will end with one of three results. Windows did not find any integrity violations and Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and repaired them mean there are now no corrupt files, but Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some (or all) of themindicates a problem.

In this latter case, type (or copy and paste)** DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth** into the PowerShell window and press the** [Return]** key. This will download files from Windows Update to replace the corrupt ones and, again, this may take some time.

Suggest me another method.

Thanks in advance

Boot off any windows iso

When the install windows screen shows press Shift + F10

in the command window that shows type in notepad.exe

In notepad select file>Open

Browse to your windows drive (Not the X drive)

Brows to users\theusernameofyouraccount\Appdata\Local

Rename the TileDataLayer folder to TileDataOld

Refresh this view to confirm it has been renamed.

restart your computer and the start screen will have reverted to the default.

That's something more serious than just the start database being corrupt then, And if you create a new user account is that also messed up ?

If not it can be isolated to the specific user profile, In that case the easiest thing to do would be to backup the data and delete the profile for this userin advanced system settings, It sucks but it would fix it in this case.
