I cant change the resolution on my second screen (Windows 10)

Question

For the longest time I've just had one screen. A few weeks ago I bought a second screen, I also had to buy a VGA to USB port (FrescoLogic FL2000 USB display adapter) because I don't have a second VGA port on the back of my desktop. My first screen is a Asus VS228H-p 21.5 inch monitor while the other is HP LV1911 which I'm pretty sure is a 18.5 inch monitor (it is def smaller than the other one). So once I plugged in my second monitor I realized that is a lot more zoomed in than normally, so I went to go change my resolution on the second screen, but I couldn't. The box is there, I can see it, but its gray and I can't edit it. So is there a way where I can change my resolution for my second screen? Or maybe I can't because I have two different monitors? Also I did check my graphics card, monitors, and the FrescoLogic adapter, and everything is up to date. Help me please my computer stats:

Windows 10 Pro

AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-core processor 3.60 GHz

3.75 GB Installed Memory RAM

64-bit operating system x64 based processor

Also: I will try to open some of my programs and the window just turns black. This happens with google chrome especially, along with a few games. This started happening when I added my second screen.

Hi Ryan,

If it's possible, please give us a screenshot to explain the issue.

Generally, you can change resolution for all of your display.

1. Right click or press and hold on your desktop, click on Display settings.

2. Then click to select the second display to modify its resolution. If all your displays are not shown, then click on the Detect link to see if Windows can find it. If you are not sure which display belongs to what number, then you can click on the Identify link to have each display's number appear briefly to see.

This fixed my issue. I didn't realize you could simply click on each monitor in display settings and individually change each resolution. Thanks!
