Windows 10 (64-bit) msinfo32 corrupted? How to repair it?

Question

Wednesday, January 4, 2017 7:15 AM

Windows informs in popup window, when stating a software specific software, about serious problem;  loading Corel PaintshopPro X8 (64-bit). No problem similar program in 32-bit version.

I have used PSPX8 Pro version without any problem now about a year, couple weeks ago, I could not get opened anymore PSPX8 (64-bit), windows is opening only only PSPX8 (32-bit) version only.

Corel help informs, my msinfo32 is corrubted, asking followings:

Thank you for contacting Corel Technical Support.

The msinfo32 file seems to be corrupted. Kindly create a new file again.

1. On your keyboard, launch the Run window by pressing the Windows button then the letter R [Windows + R].
2. From the Open box, type MSINFO32 and click OK.
3. This should now open the system information file. Click on File > Save.
4. Name the file as <your name>_sysinfo [ex.: jeni_sysinfo], make sure that the Save As type is "System Information File [*.NFO]", then save it to your desktop.
5. Attach the .NFO file to your email.

Is Windows Technical Support helping to get MSINFO32 corrected to get proper softwares in use??????
greetings

Kari
p.s. Is Corel Technical Support advising me correctly?

It seems like a part is left out. They are saying the msinfo32 file is corrupted, this is presuming you had sent them one to begin with?

Hi Kari,

Due to limited condition, we can’t test for your, so I don’t know the accuracy of Corel Technical Support’s suggestion.

In fact, PaintShop Pro X8 is not a Microsoft product, your behavior is reasonable, ask for help from Corel support directly, I think follow their suggestion should be a feasible plan. Of course, I search online for you, there is a similar case may give you a hint.
