I accidentally copy the old file (in my laptop) and replace the new file (in my thumb drive) instead of copying the new one (in my thumb drive) to replace the old one (in my laptop). How can I undo what I did to recover my new file back?

Hi ,
I never tested third party applications. Just from my experience, there is no Windows settings can undo it if you already replaced it, unless you backup old file before, such backup using File History.
Best regards

There are some software which are doing data recovery even if your files has been deleted, you may just do a search and try install one of the free one.
Also, check the recycle bin and they might be there.
If you know the root folder, you may right click on it and click on Restore Previous Version and see whether it is there.

Try typing in restore from file history in search. It should bring up file history and you can go back in history and restore the file.

Suggestion only :
Do a system restore. Pick a date BEFORE you did the "copy/paste" as your restore point.

You can also tried Recuva.

Accidentally deleted an important file? Lost files after a computer crash? No problem - Recuva recovers files from your Windows computer, recycle bin, digital camera card, or MP3 player!
Note : better do this now before something else is written over the lost file space.
