DHCP Reservation Sorting?

Question

Thursday, March 19, 2020 6:30 PM

I've got a Server 2012 DHCP server with multiple Superscopes, many of which contain multiple scopes.

Superscope A

>> Scope A

>>>> IP addresses are listed numerically from xxx.xxx.xxx.001 through ...255

If I add a reservation in this scope, the reservation is appended to the bottom of the list.

If I then refresh the reservations view, the new reservation gets sorted into the list.

Hooray! All is well.

>> Scope B

>>>> IP Addresses listed in what appears to be no order at all. The first entry is .249, they are not sorted by reservation name, and there is no way to sort them in the left pane.

*I know you can sort them in the right pane. It does not help because you cannot access the reservation properties from the right pane. Honestly I am not sure what purpose the right pane serves at all.

There has to be some setting that controls this behavior.

Does anyone know how to access and change that setting?

Hi,

>>I know you can sort them in the right pane. It does not help because you cannot access the reservation properties from the right pane.

It sorry that based on my research, there isn’t such a method.

You can have a look at the similar thread in forum:

Hope this can help you, if you have anything unclear, please let me know.

Have a nice day!
