Visual Studio is a Windows application so you cannot install it on Ubuntu and there is no plan to release it for Ubuntu in near future. But there is a new product called "Visual Studio Code" which is supported on Linux:
https://code.visualstudio.com/#alt-downloads
You can try install it and test if it meet your requirement.

To add to the earlier response, there is little point in installing VS on Linux since the applications generated by VS since VS cannot generate executables that run directly on Linux

Nevertheless, you can try Mono. It works OK executing form based programs on Linux, even if the executables are build with VS.
