Question

I was wondering if any of you had this error recently. I was logged on remotely to my work environment and everything slowed down , so I logged out. When I tried to log back in it says "connection reset by peer " and I am unable to log back in. Any thoughts on how to solve this and be able to access the environment remotely again ? I am using the Microsoft Remote Desktop from a MacBook Air through the relevant app - not sure if this makes a difference. Thanks, Aura

Hi,
The error message indicates that a connection was forcibly closed by a peer. This normally results from a loss of the connection on the remote socket due to a timeout or a restart.
Kindly check whether there’s any network issue between the remote system and source system, RDS services need to be running and firewall port 3389 should be open on the remote system.
More information for you:

An alternative is to use a beta version of the Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac.
