Hi,
How do people deal with the issue where the max limit for OST files is 50GB, but Microsoft are offering 100GB size for your mailbox in Office 365?
I know that unchecking the cache box so that it is working online resolves this, but performance is poor.
We have users that have access to multiple mailboxes and this is turn will increase the size of the OST as we are using cached mode.
There's also that slider in the account options in Outlook where you can choose how many emails to keep cached, but we are using Office 2013, so this option only applies to the users mailbox and not the additional ones.
What do other people do to get around this issue? Not cache emails?

Hi,
We can try using the following registry entries to raise the limit.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\PST
DWORD: MaxLargeFileSize
DWORD: WarnLargeFileSize
Value: Enter a decimal value in MB. For example, 100 GB = 102400 Decimal
See the following Microsoft KB article for more information:
Hope this helps.

Steve Fan

Steve is right, either you can set limit for OST & PST file. Alternatetly you can use OST Crop tool to crop OST file to easily access Outlook. Refer to below links to crop OST file:
