Hi

Seems like after windows update I am not able to connect to l2tp over ipsec vpn (windows built in client) and event viewer is showing

The IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules service terminated with the following error:

Load failed

I tried to match the ikeext.dll file modification date to windows updates log and removed some updates from those dates but still getting that error.

can you advise please?

Apparently, it was another vpn software server which uses same port as vpn client. In my case it was soft ether vpn server. Uninstalling the server software let me use my vpn client.
