Question

Hi Guys,
Can anyone help me to prevent standard user to create / change VPN in Windows 10?
Settings -> Network & Internet -> VPN
I blocked "Network and Internet" in Intune but it hides whole "Network & Internet" option both for standard and Admin users.
Is there any option in Intune to block only "VPN" section for standard users?
Regards,
Ahmad

Hello Ahmad,
To my knowledge, there is no such policy, which can prevent the users from removing the VPN profile.
However, even the VPN profile is deleted by the end user, it'll be re-installed after the next scheduled sync with Intune.
Which means, the VPN profile will always be installed once it's deleted.
Best regards,
Andy Liu

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your response.
I am not looking for any Policy to prevent users to remove / delete.
I need to prevent users to create new VPN connection. A Standard user can create VPN connection from
Settings -> Network & Internet -> VPN
So, I need to disable this option to stop users creating any VPN connection.
Regards,
Ahmad

Hello Ahmad,
Understanding.
I think the best way is to create the device restriction policy, which can block the access to "Network & Internet" in the settings app.
You can assign this policy to the user groups, which include the standard users only. Since this policy is not applied to the administrators, it doesn't block the administrators from accessing "Network & Internet".
By the way, if the feature is not supported, you can submit a feature request on the Intune Uservoice site.
