Question

Hey guys
I hope this is right category to post this kind of question.
My client has a really weird problem that I try to troubleshoot and fix but I'm empty of new ideas how to fix this problem.
So first of all, they have 3 major folders with alot of files and folders inside of it. If I view the OneDrive local folder on the PC, every file and folder is there, but when I go to Web OneDrive then only one folder of three has all the folders and files inside of it. The other two seems to have like only folders and no files at all. I thought this was a matter of access rules, but everyone has Editing access to all the folders... Oh and if you are not logged in as an admin user then you can only see one of three folders and 2 have disappeared somehow.
Second really weird thing is that when I try to remove some of the folders in settings to unlink them from the local drive then one of the folders gives me an sync error and does not let me sync it at all and says that there are folders with same name, but the second folder with the same name is in the other folder tree if you understand what I mean. This seems little bit funny to me like why it would matter when syncing.
I have tried making new folders and files in the local drive to see if they sync to Web OneDrive and vice versa as well and seems no syncing because they do not appear. I have tried unlinking account and using a new location. Tried to reinstall. Tried to rename folders. Renaming folders helped with the folders that had same name error problem, but after renaming it won't let me untick the folders that I don't want on the local drive, gives an unable to sync error message.
I hope that majority of this was understandable.
I was wondering if someone had/has the same problems and knows how to fix these problems?

Hi,
According to your descriptions, I have some questions.
1. Which type of OneDrive for Business are you using now? Is it OneDrive.exe or earlier version of OneDrive (groove.exe)?
2. Have you applied any GPOs for OneDrive for Business or done other changes before this issue exists?
3. >> If I view the OneDrive local folder on the PC, every file and folder is there.
<< Please check the status icons next to these local synced folders and files, such as "Solid green circle with the white check mark
" and "Red circle with white cross
". More icons and their meanings, please refer to the article below.
What do the OneDrive icons mean?
4. >> The other two seems to have like only folders and no files at all.
<< Please check whether there are invalid characters, file or folder names nor invalid file types for sub-folders and sub-files in these two folders.
For OneDrive.exe, please check out "Invalid file names and file types in OneDrive and SharePoint".
For groove.exe, please check out "Restrictions and limitations when you sync SharePoint libraries to your computer through OneDrive for work or school".
I would suggest you reset OneDrive for a test.
Besides, any issues related to sync issue, here is an article below,
