Question

I have quite complex infrastructure with 32 DPs. We started to update 1808 to 1908 with SUP. Lot of computers are pending or failing download, nothing has happen for days. I configured the deployment policy not to download from neighberhood or default boundary, but use only local OR download directly from MS. Not sure what is the real recommendation if any. Datatransfer.log shows me download failure from DP and I noticed that if it fails once, it will not retry.

I solved the problem by deleting c:\Windows\ccm\Temp\LS_TEMP folder.

Hi,
In this case, the client uses the DP specified in the boundary group, you have to check if all boundaries are configured correctly and assigned to their related boundary groups/DP, for more details:
What is the error message under Monitoring > Deployments?
You can check the following log files in the client in "%WINDIR%\CCM\Logs":
- WUAHandler.log
- UpdatesDeployment.log
- CAS.log
Regards,

Boundaries, Groups and DPs are linked all correctly. It is only about O365 update content, everything else works just fine. Windows 10 CU updates have always been working fine, but with O365 there are always some problems more or less. DataTransfer.log shows downloading error from a proper DP. I will paste more logs here later.

Sounds like massive issues with O365 patches world wide... https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/62bcb2ea-f003-4904-b1bf-e7dc20b6bd6e/unable-to-deploy-office-365-updates-via-sccm?forum=ConfigMgrCompliance
