Remove VM from Update Management

How to remove a VM from update mangement? I have several VMs from preview that isn't updating so wanna try to remove and add again but can't find any info about how to accomplish this task. Thnx.

You can simply remove the Monitoring extension via the portal. 

To do this navigate to the VM you want to remove and select the Extensions Tab. You should see the monitoring extension and can right-click and uninstall it. 

Once uninstalled give it a couple of mins and if you go to update management the VM will no longer be listed.

For future reference, you just need to disconnect the VM from the associated Log Analytics workspace.

Azure Portal > Log Analytics > select (any) workspace > Virtual Machines > find VM and hit disconnect.
