Failed to start virtual machine 'shiv'. Error: Operation 'Start VM' is not allowed on VM 'shiv' since the VM is generalized.

Hi, 

You must have clicked on capture in VM blade. That basically means you deleting all the environmental details of the VM and making it generalized Image to build multiple VMs using this as base Image.
