Question

This morning, my site list was version 22 and has been for so long, that I don't remember when I updated it last. Today, I've updated it twice, so I'm at version 24.
On my laptop that I use every day, and use the Edge browser almost exclusively, and log out of nightly, HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge\Main\EnterpriseMode\CurrentVersion = 20. If I open IE and wait 65 seconds, HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\EnterpriseMode\CurrentVersion = 24.
I deleted the CurentVersion value for Microsoft Edge, and closed/re-opened Edge. It's been 30 minutes, but it the value hasn't been recreated. I opened IE and deleted temporary files, closed both browsers and re-opened Edge. After 30 minutes, I still don't have a CurrentVersion value. I've rebooted, and opened Edge. It's been several minutes, still not CurrentVersion value.
I logged into a freshly-built computer (MDT/SCCM Windows 10 1709 deployment). CurrentVersion for Edge was 20. There was not EnterpriseMode key for IE, presumably because IE has never been run on this computer. I opened IE, the key was created and CurrentVersion is 24. I've closed reopened Edge, but its CurrentVersion is still 20.
I've run RSOP and verified that group policy is correctly configured. I copied the site list URL from RSOP and pasted it into my browser and verified that that link was valid.
None of this is new. I've never found the 65-second wait works with Edge. I've never been in a hurry before, so I've never worried about it. How I do I get Edge to update?

Update: Before my original post, I had to change the URL for my site list to include the port. I don't know what changed, but it did not work if I copied the URL without the port into my browser. I didn't mention it because I'd run a gpupdate /force and verified that the change via RSOP.
However, when I looked at HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge\Main\EnterpriseMode\SiteList, it had the old value. Being impatient, I changed it manually, opened my browser, waited, but still no update to my site list. I rebooted my system, but still no luck.

Hi JT65,
Did the issue occur with the specific machine or all the machines?
To configure Enterprise Mode, we should configure both Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge gps.
https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/askie/2016/06/01/using-windows-10-ms-edge-enterprise-modeemie-to-open-a-site-in-ie11/
If we have configured the Enterprise mode before, try a different path and .xml name then run "gpupdate /force" then check the symptom again.
Run "gpresult /h C:\gpresult.html" and share the gp result with us to understand the issue more clearly.
Best regards,
