Hi all,
Could you please suggest me an effecitive idea/method to migrate 500+ printers from one server to another using powershell with all configurations.
I had already tried with the same using printbrm commands. But that was not successful with some drivers issue and all.
So i would like to develope a powershell script without using printbrm for that. Please suggest me an effective idea to make this a success.
Thanks in advance
:) :)

If you want to export the list of printers with detail, find the powershell script, mention your print server and get it to CSV.

You should be using PrintManager: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766474(v=ws.11).aspx
Please review the following; This forum is for scripting questions rather than script requests
You can look in the Gallery for pre-written scripts that might solve your issue: http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com

Your best choice for learning how to best migrate printers is to post in the print serve forum.

Hi,
If you want to migrate printers from one server to another, you could use the Printer Migration Wizard to do that following the step-by-step blog:
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/canitpro/2013/06/16/step-by-step-migrating-print-servers-from-windows-server-2008-to-windows-server-2012/
And regarding on script, I doubt that there is a ready script for you, in this case, I would contact an consultant on scripting based on your environment.
Best regards,
Wendy

Hi all,
Still I am working on that.
I am going forward with printbrm commands for bulk export of printers and for restoring the printer preferences I am using rundll32 printui.dll method which I found as an effective method to restore all printer preferences.
But facing little difficulties in executing rundll32 commands remotely from a localhost
