Hi
I would like to setup DNS conditional forwarders OR stub zones on my site so I can resolve nodes on a separate forest located on a remote site. Most ports are blocks because these sites belong to different companies.
Would you please tell me which ports and between what type of servers need to be opened for conditional forwarding to work on DNS?
I think port 53 between DNS servers on both sides but I am not a 100% sure.
Thanks

Just open port 53 which is requered for DNS.
Use PortQryV2: It will be helpful to check.

Between DNS servers, the only DESTINATION port required in both directions is TCP/UDP 53.Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.

Hi
Between DNS servers ONLY; correct?

Yes, it will be enough as only DNS servers have to communicate together.
