Ive noticed recently that after 5 mins my GPU usage goes to 100% using the service. After doing some research, most other forum posts say this is affecting the cpu usage. What is this process and why is it using my GPU when idle?

high CPU usage would be normal, but high GPU usage is not.
Some malware uses the same name as the legit Windows process: [Extreemly High CPU / GPU Usage mscorsvw.exe
t](https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/82e493bb-5e30-4886-a7fb-a70e7621acf3/extreemly-high-cpu-gpu-usage-mscorsvwexe?forum=w7itproperf)he correct path for the Windows binaries are:
"C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\mscorsvw.exe"
"C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\mscorsvw.exe"
you should compare these with the process running on your machine.

I cant check the process path because it disappears as soon as i move the mouse. I cant find the files from that thread and ive done multiple malware and virus scans.

Hi,
How did you see the GPU usage when system is idle? You can open Task Manager, add the gpu column to it, and watch it when your system is at an idle status. Remember to disable sleep/hibernate/screen scaver, so that you can watch Task Manager.
Did you use some 3-party malware software, it is suggested that you can uninstall them for testing the issue, which may lead to software conflict.
You can uninstall the 3-party malware software and perform a clean boot. how to

Ive been having this problem for a while now, and searched for an answer. everyone told me it was normal and it would stop in a few days. In task manager it showed NET framework would use 100% GPU. I did about 1000 virus checks and it found ocammy.c had infected NET framework. Now everything is fine.
