We have a published document sitting on a document library in SharePoint. This document has many embedded hyperlinks to other documents, libraries and sites also in ShrePoint. For some reason these links do not work any more.
1. does anyone know why these links have stopped working?
2. What is the work around or correct solution
Thank you

Hi,
Word automatically creates a hyperlink when you type the address of an existing Web page, such as www.microsoft.com, into a document. This behavior occurs only if you have not turned off the automatic formatting of hyperlinks functionality.
If the Update links on save option in Web Options is turned on in Word, when you create a hyperlink in a Word document, Word converts the hyperlink into a relative hyperlink.

Hi 'Unable to open specified file' is the error message apparently its something to do with inserting the whole URL into the hyperlink? We should use relative links? 1. So if we are linking to a document in the same sharepoint library what path do we need to use? 2. If we are linking to document in another sharepoint document library what is the path we need to use? 3. If we are linking to a another document library what is the correct path we should use? 4. If we just want to link to another site what should we use as the path Hope this makes sense Thank you
