Hi,
Apologies in advance if this has been answered, I had a look but couldnt see it posted.
Since installing Office 365 on my machine I have been getting logs generated in C:\Temp daily named "HOSTNAME-DATE-TIME.log". These also get generated when I log out.
The contents looks like it points to Office 365 & Telemetry, as a line from todays entry reads:
09/22/2017 10:24:55.184 INTEGRAT (0xb40) 0x144c Click-To-Run General Telemetry
Is there any way to turn this off? The config file I used to install Office 365 is below.
<Configuration>
** <Add OfficeClientEdition="32" Channel="Broad">**
** <Product ID="O365ProPlusRetail">**
** <Language ID="en-us"/>**
** <Language ID="it-it"/>**
** <Language ID="de-de"/>**
** <Language ID="es-es"/>**
** <ExcludeApp ID="Groove"/>**
** <ExcludeApp ID="Access"/>**
** </Product>**
** </Add>**
** <Display Level="Full" AcceptEULA="TRUE"/>**
** <Property Name="FORCEAPPSHUTDOWN" Value="TRUE"/>**
** <Property Name="SharedComputerLicensing" Value="0"/>**
** <Property Name="PinIconsToTaskbar" Value="TRUE"/>**
** <Logging Level="Off"/>**
</Configuration>
Thank you in advance for any help provided.

Hi Paul,
Based on my deep research, The Microsoft Office ClickToRun Service (ClickToRunSvc) helps manage resource coordination, background streaming, and system integration of Microsoft Office products. As far as I know, this service is required to run during the use of any Microsoft Office program, so you cannot just stop it permanently.

Hi Paul,
Based on my research, the log files are generated by the Microsoft Click-to-Run service. Stopping the service will disable the logs, but it's not recommended to do so as the service ensures that you have the latest version of Office.

Thanks Steve,
Disabling that service did stop the logs, but it also stopped the applications starting.
We run the "Broad" version of CTR, so having the most up-to-date version of the software isn't something we are paticurly worried about.
Being able to stop the logs and still have the applications start is where we'd ideally like to be.
Is this something that is possible? I'm presuming not as you would have said but thought I'd ask anyway.
Thanks
