Hi,

Thanks for contacting our forum. Not correctly given domain information to the certificate was causing error  ID 12035.

We need to check and do as following for this issue:

  • Deleted the old certificate which was leading the server to constantly throw error ID 12035.
  • Created the new certificate with the domain name in it, as per your needs.
  • Configured the back end and Frontend to trust this certificate.

Hope it helps.

Jason Chao

Hi Jason,

Is there anywhere I can find instructions for dealing with the three points above - which are written in very simple language for Exchange Server 2016 please?

I have to say that Microsoft have dropped the ball badly with EX2016 by providing information pertaining to the previous version (2013) in things like their Best Practices Analyzer (BPA).  This has caught us out badly resulting in all too many support calls to MS.

Hence the need to be absolutely sure of exactly what changes need to be made to overcome this problem on our very small system.
