Is it possible to convert a custom list to task list in sharepoint 2010?

Hi all,

I want to convert a custom list to task list in sharepoint 2010. How can i do this? please guide me.

Hello,

I don't think you can do this OOTB. If you have large amount of data in list then one possible solution i can think of, write a code/powershell script and get data from custom list and add data in task list. OR you can also try below link suggestion:

Why are you want to convert a custom list to task list?

You can use PowerShell to export custom list to excel:
