Question
Monday, September 2, 2019 5:16 PM
Hello,
I am currently trying to open my ports on FiveM for port 30125 to allow other people to connect to the server via my home ip address, I have added the ports into my router and on the firewall as inbound and outbound ports but they are still not allowing people to connect they keep timing out...
This the same way I did it when I was on Windows 7 Home but not switching from Windows 10 Pro it seems like it has made it a little harder to open ports any help would be great
Thanks
Brandon

Hi Brandon,
Thanks for posting in this forum.
Based on my research, port 30125 is in a unassigned status. You can use Telnet to test open port.
For your reference:

Since the issues is more related to FiveM, I would suggest that you may refer the FiveM forum website.
Appreciate your understanding.
Best regards,
Abby

Hello,
Thanks you for replying.. I have been in contact with FiveM and they have said it is either a ISP issue or a Windows 10 Pro issues since Windows 10 Home users don't seem to be having this kind of issue.
I can take a look at that link and see if that can help me in anyway
Thanks
Brandon

Use https://canyouseeme.org/ to test that port forwarding on your router is properly configured. If that doesn't work, temporarily disable the firewall on your Windows pc to see if that is blocking the port.

Hello,
My firewall is already disabled and still showing as closed and everything is configured correctly on my router nothing changed on it since I was on Windows 7 to Windows 10 Pro

Was https://canyouseeme.org/ able to connect to the port?
Open an admin command prompt and run this command to verify that a process is listening on port 30125.
netstat -aon | findstr -i listen | findstr 30125

Hello,

Nope it was not for some reason... but when I do it on a windows 7 it shows it is connected
It is not listed there and I ran it on the windows 7 too and it was not in the list either but was open and people could connect to it, just for some reason on my windows 10 machine it is not open
Thanks

That says that your router is configured to do port forwarding to the IP address of the Win7 machine and not the IP address of the Win10 machine.
See https://pureinfotech.com/how-to-configure-port-forwarding-on-a-router/
Use TcpView to see what network connections are in use on both systems. When CanYouSeeMe.org connects to your machine, you should see that established connection.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/tcpview
Is your router configured to forward external port 30125 to internal port 30125. If so, you should see something listening on 30125. If not, look at the FiveM processes and see what ports they are listening on.
Note, I have no experience with whatever FiveM is.
