How to hide Content Editor Webpart on SharePoint 2013 page

Question

Friday, October 7, 2016 5:51 PM

I added some script on a Content Editor Webpart on a page, but then the webpart shows on the page as "Content Editor" or "Untitled" (if I remove the title to blank). Also tried Chrome=None, but the Webpart still shows on the page.

Can some one tell me how to hide Content Editor webpart?

Thanks on any tip!

Hi,

Please use the allowhide option to hide your webpart

Allow Hide

Specifies whether the Web Part can be hidden.

Allow Hide option under "Advanced" is greyed out with a check mark in the box.  I checked all options - also "Hide" box under "Layout" is greyed out.   The above workaround got the WP hidden.
