Question

Hello Everyone,
We have a fleet of Win10 1709 workstations joined to an AD domain.
When I delete the hidden C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy folder (to reset Group Policy settings to default) I have noticed this folder never gets recreated as I expect.
I seem to remember when we did this same process with Win7 machines this folder was always automatically recreated ?
1. I have confirmed that GroupPolicy caching is definitely not disabled via the GroupPolicy applied to our devices.
2. The folder is not recreated even after a "GPUPDATE /Force" command or reboot.
3. The GP settings still seem to be getting cached, because if I boot PC not connected to the network the GP settings we apply still seem to be active even without this folder.
Is it possible the location of cached GroupPolicy has been changed for Win10 1709 ?
Thanks, Makes

Well just tried this on a 1709 and the GroupPolicy folder was recreated. So do not think it has moved, perhaps have another look at your GPO settings.
