Hi,

I bought a new laptop with windows 10 home edition pre installed.
I've tried to make a clean installation of windows 10 pro but after every try the installed windows version was home.
I called Microsoft tech support and they helped me upgrade it to the pro version. (the home license key was pre installed in the bios and needed to be removed)

the problem now is, that in the computer management screen there is no "local user and groups" option...

please help

thanks

Hi,

If that computer is a domain controller then that option won't appear. You'll need to go to Active Directory Users and Computers to make modifications to user accounts.

If not, you can try the following methods to open Local User and Groups.
