Good day All,
I have an issue only with one particular user with her Outlook 2013. When I try to add and pst file or want to setup an account I get the following error. "An unknown error occurred, error code: 0x80070043"
The user connect to an Exchange 2010 server. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Did the user set any folder redirection before? Especially the default location it shows when you click File > Open & Export > Open Outlook Data File in Outlook 2013. By default, the location is:
C:\Users\username%\Documents\Outlook Files
To verify this, we may open the Registry Editor and navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Find the Personal value and check if its data is set to other path rather than %USERPROFILE%\Documents. If this is the case, try changing the value to %USERPROFILE%\Documents and then test the issue again.
Please let me know the result.

Steve Fan

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.
