Question
Monday, September 18, 2017 7:21 PM
2 New laptops show the same problems, and they are the only 2 running windows 10 in the network.
Both joined to the local domain. No loginscript or GPO at all in this domain.
Now the weird behavior is this : 4 printers are being pushed to this computer(all of them having the name of their share, aka Printer on x.x.x.x which is the print server) but the onyl thing accessible is the print Q, the driver arent even installed.
Deleting them and restarting the print spooler service will bring them back. Network autodiscover is off on all 3 setting; domain, private or public.
I have tried blocking the IP of the print server on the local computer, they will still show up again once i restart the print spooler.
Any idea on how to solve this issue ?

Hi Zombryodarky,
According to your description, I know you have disabled autodiscover, please check the setting below.
Control Panel (icon view)> Network and Sharing Center > Change advanced sharing settings (on left side of screen)
Under: Private > Network discovery
There is a box that says "Turn on automatic setup of network connected devices."
Uncheck that box and click "Save changes."
Also some registry questions about printer may be problematic.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers\Client Side Rendering Print Provider\Servers]
Refer to the link below to get more information about the issue.

So after checking the second key you posted, I removed it and the printers stopped reinstalling. Thank you for the answer!
