Can't change the resolution of my second screen, even when it's selected.

Why can't i change the resolution on the 2nd screen, I have selected monitor #2 but the resolution and size option are grayed out.

Did you try extending the screen instead of duplicating ?

Hi,

 

Generally, you can change resolution for all of your display.

 

1. Right click or press and hold on your desktop, click on Display settings.

 

2. Then click to select the second display to modify its resolution. If all your displays are not shown, then click on the Detect link to see if Windows can find it. If you are not sure which display belongs to what number, then you can click on the Identify link to have each display's number appear briefly to see.

If that doesn't work, Please try the following to check:

Try another monitor.

Update the drivers for the graphics cards.
