Disabling Display settings on Office 365 1808

Question

Wednesday, February 13, 2019 1:01 AM

Hello,

We have recently updated to Office 365 1808 version. A display setting option started showing up at the right bottom.

Is there any registry to hide the display setting.

Hi Prasanth,

Are you using multiple monitor display in your scenario?

The status bar will show a “Display Settings” indicator that appears whenever Office is running on a multiple monitor system using different DPI settings. You can click the display settings indicator to change between modes. You’ll need to restart the app for the settings to apply.

In Excel, click File > Options > General, under User Interface options, you can switch the display settings to use Office compatibility mode by default:

Then restart Excel to have a try.

Winnie Liang

Hi Prasanth,

Unfortunately, I didn't find a settings to directly block it. Please check if the Display Settings window prompted when the option "Optimize for compatibility" is selected. If no prompt, please use this setting by default as a workaround.
