Question

Hello:
I'm in the process of installing Windows Server 2016 Essentials, and next I want to join one of my Windows 10 Pro machines to a domain.
The problem... the button to join a domain is missing.
I went to:
Settings --> System --> About
From what I read, there was supposed to be a "Join a Domain" button. It isn't there.
I am an administrator in my account, but I didn't specifically log into the Settings as administrator if that's possible.
Ideas?
Thanks,

In later versions for Win10, this has moved to;
Settings, Accounts, Access Work or School
+ Connect
[Alternate actions]
Join this device to a local Active Directory domain
Don [doesn't work for MSFT, and they're probably glad about that ;]

Hi,
As Don pointed out, it has slightly changed in later versions of Windows 10.
You can still do it the good old way:
1. Go to Start and search for "This PC" or ríght-click "This PC" on your desktop and click Properties.
2. Click on Change settings.
3. Click on Change.
4. Check the Domain and then enter your domain name.
Best regards,
Leon
