Hi,
Use the print management options to set up a group policy. You will either need to set up a print server or install the necessary features on an existing server. This should give each user the correct printer when they log on.
To deploy printers to users or computers by using Group Policy
Open Print Management.
In the left pane, click Print Servers, click the applicable print server, and click Printers.
In the center pane, right-click the applicable printer, and then click Deploy with Group Policy.
In the Deploy with Group Policy dialog box, click Browse, and then choose or create a new GPO for storing the printer connections.
Click OK.
Specify whether to deploy the printer connections to users, or to computers:
To deploy to groups of computers so that all users of the computers can access the printers, select the "The computers that this GPO applies to (per machine)" check box.
To deploy to groups of users so that the users can access the printers from any computer they log onto, select the "The users that this GPO applies to (per user)" check box.
Click Add.
Click OK.

Hello Sir,
first of all thank you very much for your kind and clear help.
I readed very well your advices and I think that they are useful information.
Unfortunately I am not sure that it can solve the situation of where I work.
For example, some computers are used from many users, so in this case I could use the computer policy but we have 2800+ computers and many many priters, so it wont be agile to set for every computer his printer, then printers can be changed sometimes.
To use the user policy in the first login it is again not possible and not useful for our reality because users are many, and they dont work every day in the same PC but they change every day PC, and every PC has his different model of printer.
With Windows 7 i used for years a simple batch in the "all users" folder where I write wich printer must be the default printer. Maybe not the best and elegant way to configure it, but it was fast, reliable and functional..
What I am looking for it could be a local policy, a reg key, or a batch that can set easily a default printer for all users when they login.
What would you recommend?
Thank you again for your help and have a wonderful day.
