SKU011.CAB solution

Question

Thursday, December 14, 2006 7:05 AM | 16 votes

Go into Registry Editor (Start, Run, "regedit"). Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Office, 11.0, Delivery. There should be only 1 directory under Delivery, which is your DownloadCode (mine was 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9). Select that directory. On the right side of the screen, right-click on CDCache. Change the value to 0.

honestly works with out a hitch.

One suggestion...

When I went into the Delivery directory, I had four "download code" directories, which were identical.  I turned the CDCache value to "0" in all four.  After exiting and restarting, it still didn't work.  So, I exported then deleted the extra 3 versions of the CDCache.  Then exited and restarted.  It worked fine then.  Thanks for this great solution to this very pesky problem.

I followed your directions but was unsuccessful!!  There is as you indicate only 1 directory under delivery but the number differs from yours - however on the right side of the screen under DownloadCode that number is the same as yours.  I am puzzled as I was under the impression the directory under Delivery would be the same as the number on the right side of the screen under DownloadCode.  Any advice.  Please be patient as I am new to trying to sort problems out myself (usually call someone in - to my cost once when he installed a pirate copy of Windows Professional XP thus I had to pay extra to ensure I had a legal copy when I discovered what had happened.  Thus not calling him in again!!).  This problem has arisen whilst trying to install Office 2003 Service Pack 2.

Hi ,

Problem SKU011.cab after an auto MSupdate, and among others things it invited me to install MS Explorer 7. Sorrily I did  it. After that MS Excel did not open anymore, nothing to do with installation CD .  Tried after disinstalling the newly installed explorer 7, same behaviour. I searched on ms for a solution , and went to your message. I did as you indicate, the value on cdcache was 2 , I changed it to 0 and then close the REGEDIT. Try to open the Excel file and still it started the installation. But this time it gave another error: Errore 1311 . Impossibile trovare il file di origine C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000410-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\MT561402.CAB . Assicurarsi che il file esista e di disporre dei relativi diritti di accesso. This means more or less in english: " Error 1311 - Impossible to find the file C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000410-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\MT561402.CAB . " and so on . I point your attention to note that my MSOffice drive and start drive is not the C: but D: drive! May you help me? Thanks.

If I change the value to 0 it gives an error message of error 1311. Another window comes up to tell me to retry to find that cdcache. Would u please tell me what should be done?

Hi,

After many other tries , I went to the Control Panel, switched the Auto Update OFF, then went to the installed software and uninstalled all the upgrades (7) that happened the day before, the Explorer 7 has been uninstalled before with no results. Uninstalled these upgrades, I restarted the PC and endly all was again OK,  excel and all works again OK.

Sorrily I have no copy of what I uninstalled, probably there is a log somewhere, but I do not care for. My pc is endly working again, that's enough. But I do not trust the auto upgrades anymore, hi!

Isn't this somehow related to this Support Article:

Sunday, January 14, 2007 7:38 PM

Hi,

I had the same problem with the Error 1311 after the regedit.

Do you have more than one Download codes?

*Because I had 4. The 1st one is different than the other 3. So what I did... *

I deleted the 1st one only & changed the value of the CDCache of the 2nd one from "2" to "0". Try this!  But make sure you back up the 1st one before deleting in case it doesn't work with you.

Good Luck!

Friday, January 19, 2007 8:57 PM

Can't thank you enough, Inkhand, for the solution to the SKU011.CAB messages.  Worked first time just as you described.   I think I "caught" this ailment when I simply went to the MS Office update site about a month ago and downloaded the latest update.  Either that, or the Norton Registry cleaner that ran about that time might have caused it.  Anyway, the CD Cache code was "2" and I changed it to 0, as you suggested.  FYI, the next time that I used Excel (office) the dialog box appeared saying it was being installed, then Excel came right up.  Now Word 2003 and Excel come up nicely without dialog box comment whenever I click their icons. IOU a cold one. This is sooooooo awesome!  Worked like a charm.  This after four days of calling Microsoft, enduring endless hours on hold, and trying to obtain a fix from someone who barely speaks English!!! It was maddening!

Thank you!!!

Thursday, January 25, 2007 10:10 PM

When I got to Delivery using your instructions, I had two directories.  Should I delete one of them?

Saturday, January 27, 2007 7:56 PM

Thx

Sunday, February 4, 2007 11:47 AM

Worked perfectly, thks a lot for your hint. Not being an IT expert, this took me 20 sec as opposed to a "nightmare" in other solutions.

Thursday, February 15, 2007 2:34 AM

may you be blessed with a long life of happiness, wealth, and health.... in other words, it worked!

Sunday, February 18, 2007 9:15 AM

Monday, February 19, 2007 2:08 PM

I am away from home, hence no disks, I am trying to import my contacts, which is looking for a csv file, which i have already downloaded.

Outlook is looking for this sku011 file, and it cannot find it.  I did the registry change to 0 and now says
Looking for Microsoft Office Outlook Translator

Error 1311. Source file not found. C:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-015004838C9\L4561403.CAB. Please verify that the file exists and you can access it.

I do not understand why windows would not put all you need into the original installation files.

Wednesday, February 28, 2007 2:55 AM

.. "SKU011.CAB Solution" it may be for most, but definitely not for all.
.. Me, for instance. My problem seemed to be with my Outlook (fm MS Office Pro Edition 2003). I had the same thing coming up after my system went wonky (howzat for techspeek?!). I did a search on MS Live and came up with this link (look for the entry dated 04-Apr-2006), which sent me to another link  (posted 2 years ago). If you look really close to that post and the opening post by INKHAND here, you may notice a slight touch of plagiarism. Anyway, never mind me, I'm just pooping on INKHAND's parade...

.. I tried the solution, tho' my regkey was numbered slightly diff at the beginning AND I had 2 of 'em. I changed the 1st to 0 w/ no fix. I changed it back and then the 2nd to 0 w/ no fix. I changed both to 0 w/ yaddayadda. I deleted the first, & left the 2nd at 0. I re-pasted the 1st & deleted the 2nd, all the while leaving the value data at 0.
.. Then, I tried the whole exercise again (copy, cut, paste, etc) but w/ the value at 2, which was the original. The only diff I had thruout the entire ordeal was an occasional error msg same as has been posted elsewhere here (gawd, what vile grammar I gots!).

.. My solution? Beats me! My Outlook just suddenly checked my mail and d/l'ed a msg whilst I was typing furiously away here. Oh, I guess I shoulda mentioned that I got the pgm to open by simply clicking on "Cancel" ea time it attempted to "configure" Office (a total of 11 times). My problem is NOT solved, as I just closed & reopened Outlook & had to go thru the Cancel biz again (12, this round).
.. Do a Live search for SKU011.CAB. I got 2,780 hits. I'll do some research and try to post my shot at plagiarism for those who the regedit didn't work for.
.. Keep on truckin', all you wanna-be geeks! And I'll lead the way!
ah-ONE-and-a-TWO...

Thanks.

Thursday, March 15, 2007 8:45 PM

This solution worked perfect thanks for taking time to post this solution. I followed it until i got to the step right click on CDCache change value to 0.  When i right clicked i then clicked modify then i changed my value from 2 to 0, after this everthing worked fine no more having to install thencancel and then word or excel would open phew feels good to have a comp that works thanks, jon

Thursday, March 22, 2007 1:18 PM

Should I change the modify to 0, or the modify Binary data to 0? Both??

Friday, March 23, 2007 8:43 AM

Very helpful. I had two downloadable code so I changed them both to 0. I'm now a happy camper. Thanks.

Monday, March 26, 2007 4:18 AM

Thank you so much INKHAND!!! After months of irritation it is finally over. It took me a bit of time to find the correct place, but it was well worth it (never been to regedit). No more sku with Word!  This is truly priceless advice (the little luxuries in life..). Thanks again. J

Tried the solution you suggest. Excel is now working just fine.

Much help. Thanks.

Wednesday, June 6, 2007 1:33 PM

I tried this and it didn't work, I noticed the numbers under Delivery and the number beside DownloadCode are slightly different. Is this the cause? Should I modify them to the same numbers?

Perhaps change the default value? It says (value not set).

Hi

When i open the 'delivery' file, there are 4 directories, which were:

Default                         REG_SZ       (value not set)

CDCache                    REG_SZ       2

Download code          REG_SZ       90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9

Local Cache Drive     REG_SZ       C

I changed the 'CDCache' to '0', closed the Registry Editor and tried to start up Excel. It began to install but then came up with the 1311 error, saying that i had to verify the file exists and that it can be accessed.

What now??

Please help asap, i haven't been able to use my Excel for about a year now and i'm abou to throw this bloody computer out of a window!

Thanks in advance

Gemma

Saturday, July 7, 2007 9:09 PM

So, after trying to work out how to get around this Error 1311, i randomly tried to start Excel - which was the only app. i had a problem with - in a new window, while the error dialog box was still open (before i clicked on cancel, i mean), and it started up straight away. What's going on? Will i need to do this every time i want to start excel? or can i get rid of this error msg?

Can anyone help?

Gemma

But after I got past that bump I ran into another request for with same downloadCode\G3561403.CAB which was suppose to be under my MSOCache\All Users directory.  Any ideas?

Hi TominTuckson...did you ever get the missing sku011.cab problem resolved.  I saw your post where you tried going through regedit and changing the CDcache number to 0.  This did not work for me and I am really frustrated!!!! Any clues?????

Saturday, August 18, 2007 7:12 PM

Hi, TominTucson:

I read your response regarding the missing sku011.cab file for Excel.  Did you ever get yours to work?  I tried going through regedit and changing the values to read 0 but that didn't work for me either.  I am so frustrated...Let me know if you have figured it out.

Thanks,

Jackie

Anyway, thanks.

Thursday, September 6, 2007 8:43 AM

Went into my registry. Under my delivery code was 90110409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9, but download code was the same as yours. Chnaged my CDCache to 0 but now get error 1311. scource file not found.

How do i fix this??

Rely need my excel to work!!!!

Thursday, September 6, 2007 5:15 PM

Thanks for posting this. The problem was really bottle-necking my work & I didn't have my installation CD nearby.  Saved me an enormous amount of time!

Tuesday, September 11, 2007 10:17 PM

Thanks Ink solution worked like a champ!!  Great job.

Thursday, September 13, 2007 12:52 AM

All goes as above until I get to "Delivery",  Expands to "Source Engine" Expands to "Settings" and that is it.  Cannot pull up the CDCache at all.  My OS is XP Home Edition and I have had Office installed.  The computer crashed and had to be formatted all over.  Now I can not get Office back on.

Thanks for the solution. It appears that worked for me. Is anyone else getting tired of Microsoft?? I had to buy 2007 for college, even though  my computer is less than a year old. Grrr. It took my husband and I 10 min's to figure out how to open the stupid package, it would be easier to break into Fort Knox! Then when I finally start to load it and get an error message. That's a lot of hassle for one cd. Oh well, I'm off to study, thanks for the tips.

Saturday, September 15, 2007 9:53 AM

This information usefull and my problem solved.thank you and may god bless you.

Monday, September 17, 2007 4:55 PM

Hi I'm envious that it's working for almost everyone. But I'm in that 15 - 20% category where it didn't. I go the 1311error message and any excel spread comes up with The Microsoft Office 2003 engine. Did we get an answer for this yet? Anybody? Thanks - Mike ....GO CUBS!

Tuesday, September 18, 2007 9:43 AM

Halo, thank you so very much for your tips.  It works !  I have been spending many hours following MS support & help manuals but all methods didnt work.  I wondered why I would come up with this problem.  If I upgrade to MS Office 2007, will I have the same problem again? Thanks.

Thursday, September 27, 2007 2:21 PM

Inkhand is a rockstar - worked!  fastest I ever resolved an issue!

Thursday, September 27, 2007 3:48 PM

Me too - I can open excel after I get the 1311 error code but what a hassle to do each time.  I've scrolled through this whole post - maybe 15+ q's on this code with no reponse.

Can ANYONE help?

Monday, October 1, 2007 1:18 PM

Please help.  I have SKU011.CAB problem with office 2003 but didn't resolve it (just aware of this forum today).  My office 2003 was upgraded & replaced with office 2007.  I tried the suggested solution but it does not resolve the issue.  The DownloadCode is the same as yours.  Grateful for your help.

Monday, October 15, 2007 10:02 AM

thanks! I've solved the pesky problem as you have said! God bless

Tuesday, October 16, 2007 6:22 PM

My code is the exact same as yours however i have 2 different directories under delivery and none of those codes match the download code. I'm not sure if it is suppose to in the first place but im guessing that might be the problem

Please help really need excel for work

Friday, October 19, 2007 2:35 PM

I changed the Windows XP user.  When I tried to open MS Office Pro 2003 Excel, it would look for the sku011.cab file.  I did not have the original CD.  I tried this solution, and it fixed my problem.  Thank you.

Wednesday, October 31, 2007 3:06 AM

Wednesday, October 31, 2007 3:43 PM

Hi someone !

I need some help here.

When i open the 'delivery' file, there are 4 directories, which were:

Default                         REG_SZ       (value not set)

CDCache                    REG_SZ       2

Download code          REG_SZ       90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9

Local Cache Drive     REG_SZ       C

I changed the 'CDCache' to '0', closed the Registry Editor and tried to start up Word or Excel. It began to install but then came up with the 1311 error, saying that i had to verify the file exists.  I am stuck till here. Pls help asap.

Thanks in advance

Jov

P/S I had two 'download codes' directories which were both identical and so I exported then and kept one one and it still didn't work.  I really need help !!!!!!!!

Let me know if you get any response.

Hey everyone!  This is really aggravating because while everyone is giving kudos and much appreciation, there are a slew of messages on here from people for whom this solution has caused yet another problem and NO ONE seems to want to acknowledge it!!  PLEASE!  I have searched two different message boards and it's all the same thing "Thanks so much, you're a god" mixed in with "I get Error 1311, please help"...

Ok, come on you computer message board junkies, stop patting each other on the back for a minute and lend us poor saps a helping hand.  We do the registry number change and get Error 1311 Source File Not Found.  It's inevitably some .CAB file that should be in MSOCache/All Users, but it's not there.  We have either lost or broken our Office installation CD (I would venture a guess that mine somehow ended up in the trash a few months back by accident).  Although I suppose it doesn't really matter because there are even a few posts on here that cannot find the file even WITH the installation CD.

pretty please

Monday, November 12, 2007 7:55 PM

I'm having the same exact problem.  It seems a lot of people are getting this Error 1311 but no one seems to be willing to tell us how to fix it.  I have seen various filename.cab versions of this, but this particular one is the only posting I've seen that corresponds to my specific problem.  I am trying to import a tab delimited address file into my contacts.  Why on earth wouldn't that be automatically installed with Outlook?

RtP

Monday, November 12, 2007 8:41 PM

I wish I could help you but I also have the installation CD and I get this message.  What is really going on here?  I got an error message with Access, and I inserted the install disk.  The problem was not alleviated so I decided to uninstall and reinstall.  Then I get this sku011.cab message.  Why is it that so many of us are experiencing this problem, and too many of us are not getting the answer we need.  Why would Microsoft have a cd that doesn't include all the needed files?  I had to revert back to my Office XP program (yuck!!) because I must have Office on my computer.  This is the pits!!!!!!!!!

Monday, November 12, 2007 9:52 PM

Alright, now I did the fix suggested, then I went and downloaded the Office SP3 update and rebooted and my address book conversion seemed to work, HOWEVER, I could not get the text/speech engine thing to work, it just asked for yet another *.CAB file that I did not have.

msapril28, my msn messenger screenname is ronnithepooh, drop me a line, I may have a solution for you.

Sunday, December 23, 2007 2:51 PM

If you tried changing the CDCach to 0 and then got the ERROR 11, try this....I don't know why it worked but it did!!! I inserted the installation CD, reset the CDCache to 2 (what it was when I started this process) and the opened one of my Office 2003 applications. Worked like a charm?!??!!?!??!?!?! GL!

Sunday, December 23, 2007 5:30 PM

Hello

Have you any idea how to do this in Vista  as you do not get a Delivery Directory in the Microsoft, Office, 11.0 and if I click on Registration I get the number and on the right there is a few files/directories but no CDCache.

Thank you

You're a genius!  Thanks for taking the time to post solutions like this for us people like me who are computer illiterate!  You have made my day much easier!  And for those who have read some of the negative feedback here, believe me, the solution is really this easy!

Wednesday, January 9, 2008 6:02 AM

You are the goods! It worked like a charm for both of my Office Programs.

Friday, February 1, 2008 3:05 PM

It definetly works and as mentioned without a hitch.
very good solution to this pesky problem

Monday, February 4, 2008 10:40 PM

Wonderful and simple fix. Thanks a ton...BTW, any idea why this has happened..?

Monday, February 18, 2008 10:45 PM

Inkhand,

This worked for me as well.

For the record, I mistakenly downloaded the trial verson of Office 2007 when I was trying to get the trial verson of OneNote 2007.  Anyways, I already had Office 2003 on my computer, and when I uninstalled Office 2007 Trial version none of my files would open and I got the SKU011.CAB error.  But, after following your directions the problem seems to be solved.

Thanks!

Tuesday, February 19, 2008 6:58 PM

cheers dude, your tip worked as a treat. Just by changing the Cache from the registry to 0 instead of 2.

For everyone with the SKU011 and 1301 error problems: change the CDcache to "0" as mentioned elsewhere then go to this ftp site ( ftp://77.236.43.49/OUT/office2003/ ) where you'll find then "missing" files you need. Click on the file you need - download it (them) into your MSOCache folder (which may not be on the the same hard drive as your Office program files by the way) - ( mine is here: E:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9 while my Office files/program is on D:\ -- yours will be different, probably).

Run the Office programs you're having the problems with and when it tries to install, the install should proceed, finding the files it is looking for and viola! - everything should be fixed. And a BIG THANKS to the original and only poster of the ftp site!!!!!! (sorry, can't remember your name)

Roger

SKU011.CAB PROBLEM - TO USE IF INKHANDS SOLUTION DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU

I don't know if this solution has already been stated as one but I want to be as helpful as possible after the madness I've been through!!!!

After attempting INKHANDS solution several times I kept getting the Error 1131 report thing.

Basically the solution for me here was to do exactly what INKHAND said but change the Default number, situated just above the CDcache number at the top, which didn't have anything in it to '1'.

The real credit goes to JACKJACK0111

KUDOS and thank you!!! im soo happy nw!!!

Wednesday, March 19, 2008 12:29 AM

I"m having the same problem as well.  My Word and Excel both don't work.  All happened when I got interrupted by an updated and clicked on it (I usually select what to update.. HUGE mistake).  Changed the 2 to 0, even tried changing the default to 0 (instead of (value not set)).   Restarted the computer after both changes and nothing is working.  HELP!  Really need to use these programs!  Sounds like Microsoft needs to get a patch and FAST.

Saturday, March 22, 2008 10:50 AM

**THANK YOU SO MUCH!**

When my computer started giving me the SKU011.CAB file missing error, my first thought was 'this is going to be a pain to sort out'

Man, was I wrong. This took me 2 minutes and fixed it straight away. Thanks again.

Monday, March 24, 2008 9:10 PM

works. thanks.

Monday, April 7, 2008 8:59 PM

AWESOME THANK YOU!!

Wednesday, April 9, 2008 3:09 AM

Your fix worked perfectly for me exactly as laid out. However I will point out that my number is the same as yours. This must be universal. Also there are "delivery" entries under several folders it is important to get the 11.0

As I said worked for me. A life saver since I am living in China and all of my program discs are in California.

Thanks

Borsia

Saturday, April 12, 2008 8:02 AM

Here is my solution.

Right click on "start"

Search your source cd for the missing file (in my case it was SKU011.CAB and PS451.CAB

When I searched for them, I found them on the CD.

Then I went back to the browse button

and set the directions to browse the drive and folder where I found the "MISSING" CAB file.

Try that, and see if that works for you.

It's the first best simplest solution

that could avoid you a lot of unnecessary running around

like a chicken with your head cut off, for not reason.

Hope this works for some, if not all, of you!

E~

Friday, April 18, 2008 8:37 PM

Did that and still cannot download Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3), what about the other values?

Default

Localcachedrive

What values should be set there? Mine are

Default   (value not set)

Localcachedrive C

What now???????

Wednesday, April 30, 2008 1:54 PM

I realize that this is an old posting for you, but I want to say thank you!  Your advice worked perfectly, and now I'm able to run all of my Office 2003 programsas usual!  My computer-illiterate husband was going crazy with this error message.  You may have saved my marriage with your sku011.cab advice!

So thanks!

How do I change the CDcache, I don't know how to find it.  Helllppp

Wednesday, May 7, 2008 9:00 PM

Hi

When i open the 'delivery' file, there are 4 directories, which were:

Default                         REG_SZ       (value not set)

CDCache                    REG_SZ       2

Download code          REG_SZ       90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9

Local Cache Drive     REG_SZ       C

I changed the 'CDCache' to '0', closed the Registry Editor and tried to start up Excel. It began to install but then came up with the 1311 error, saying that i had to verify the file exists and that it can be accessed.

What now??

I was reading all the posts here, but I couldn't find the solution to this problem

Thank you for you help,

Assya

P.S. Now with the Error is searching for E2561410.CAB

Friday, May 9, 2008 3:23 AM

Worked like a charm. When I tried to start Excel, it gave me the dialog box for the first time. I thought it did not work and canceled it. But another post on this thread stated that the dialog box comes up when I start Excel for the first time after I make the above change. Now everything is back to normal. Truly, patience pays and works without a hitch.

Thank you for this post

Tuesday, May 13, 2008 7:09 PM

Thank you so much INKHAND,I followed your directions and after allowing the setup to rollback, I rebooted my PC and started the install again.....as you say "without a hitch" again ty...Jim Dodds

Hello.  I would like to use your solution because I'm trying to upgrade my MS Office Small Business software and I get the "Error 1311 Source file not found...D:\SKU011.CAB."  I guess I'm not as computer literate as thought and don't understand where to locate the files or sources to resolve my issue.  Can you tell me where I go to delete the files?

Sunday, August 3, 2008 2:59 PM

Hi Iankhand,

This may sound stupid, bit I don't see the CDcache in the place stated. Scanning the whole computer cannot find it.

I have some with type REG_DWORD, but nothing in the desc foe CDCache

Any ideas

I got a new laptop with Vista not realizing that it had works instead of word...which I need for school. I transferred programs from my old laptop xp via cable, and word worked immediately after the install, but not after shutting down, and trying to start it again. The infamous missing sku111.cab appeared. I have tried the free install sku111.cab....doesn't work...I have tried following the solution here...but I do not find a delivery file. Please help! Thanks. Denise (Do not have the CD)

Tuesday, June 23, 2009 3:36 PM

I had the same problem but my solution was simpler.

I finally found out that the person, whos file I was trying to open, had changed the ending from .ppt (Power Point file) to .doc (Word file). Word then tried to install some kind of converter to read the Power Point file, using Word. After canceling all activities and closing Word, I simply changed the ending back to .ppt and opened it using Power Point.

Reg. and thanks for all the good advice.

Wednesday, July 22, 2009 7:47 PM

worked for me pal thanks a bunch

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 7:56 AM

If you do not have the installation cd and want to solve this issue follow these steps: (works most of the time with all sku.cab files) 1. Click on start==>run==>type "excel /s" without quotations and click ok. 2. Once Excel is up in safe mode with the error message in front, hold down ctrl+Alt+Delete keys on your keyboard to bring the task manager up. 3. Click on the processes tab==>look for msiexec.exe (only the one next to your user name), click on it and end the process. 4. Excel should be running without an error message now==>close Excel in safe mode==>reopen it one more time in safe mode to check if it is opening with no error message. 5. Close Excel /s and open Excel normally, it should work fine. The above solution was previously supplied by [email protected] (Bahboosh) on other dedicated Newsgroup.

I followed INKHAND's directions and it worked perfectly.  Thank you

Change the value to 0.

honestly works with out a hitch.

this really does work i like how he really explained it

Works great ... thanks... For people whom it did not work back and delete the delivery key itself... :)

Thank you so very much.  This problem has plagued me for a long time.  All I wanted to do was export my contacts as csv.  This solved me problem immediately.  Sorry to dig up a 3 year old post, but I just felt compelled to extend my gratitude and to let you know that your post continues to help people.

Thank You INKHAND, it really worked. I didn't have the CDS on hand and the installer was asking for SKU011.CAB. Your method simply turns off that request to check the CD for any updates.. Thanks!

I just tried doing exactly what you said, and it indeed worked perfectly. I was not able to open Microsoft Excel, but after trying the fix you described, it opened on the first try! Thanks so much!

Seems to work for me too. What caused the problem?

One suggestion...

When I went into the Delivery directory, I had four "download code" directories, which were identical. I turned the CDCache value to "0" in all four. After exiting and restarting, it still didn't work. So, I exported then deleted the extra 3 versions of the CDCache. Then exited and restarted. It worked fine then. Thanks for this great solution to this very pesky problem.

I have the similar question, Finally made it.
