Question

Hi, I have lot's of events in 2019 and I'd like to copy them massively into 2020 calendar and make few changes after.
Is it possible to copy massively all the 2019 events into 2020 calendar. Same days but different year?
Thanks
Francesco

Ok I found a much easier way, well for me.
1) In Outlook --> go to list view --> copy and paste all the events into excel
2) In Excel --> change dates and pay attention to the date format MM/DD or DD/MM
3) In SharePoint Calendar --> go to Current View All Events --> Click on Edit --> go to the bottom of the list --> copy and paste from excel into here
After that in Outlook you can easily modify and move events based on new weekends or anything else
Hope this can help someone else.
Ciao

I don't think that can be possible under the same list unless if you have any third party tools like sharegate.

Hi,
There is no OOB solution to copy events of a specific year to another.
As a workaround, you can copy the events to another calendar list with PowerShell and then manually modify Start Time and End Time with Datasheet View.
You can also create a calculated column and use formula “=YEAR([Start Time])” to sort the events based on which year.
Here’s a reference on how to copy calendar events with PowerShell for you.
SharePoint 2010 + PowerShell: Export/Import Calendar Items.

Thanks Chelsea Wu, is it required to create a new calendar or I can keep the same one. The one I have already is working, lot's of people have been authorized to it and it has been connected into all local outlook... so I'd prefer to keep the same calendar and duplicate all the events
thanks

Hi,
The same calendar list would do as well.
Just use the same list name after the parameters “$sourceListName” and “$destListName”.
