We manage a corporate environment and we are looking at Microsoft Edge as the primary browser. However, when we go to the Home Page in IE which is our Intranet site, it passes the Windows Credentials and logs on without prompt. When we go to the same home page in Edge, it acts like Chrome and gives the logon page and does not pass credentials.
I expected that Edge would be supporting pass-through as that is the main reason people use IE over Chrome/Firefox.
We do not want passwords "saved" in credential manager because that leads to account lockouts when passwords change every 6 weeks.
I cannot find any articles on Edge and even whether it supports pass-through or not?

Hi Iforbes,
Apologize for the late reply.
For the Intranet site, we could manage them through the Enterprise site list, which is also be supported by Microsoft Edge, that should make the symptom the same with Internet Explorer.
Further, there is difference when using some websites on Microsoft Edge, so currently we recommended to use Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge together.

It's working fine for us with Win10-Build10240.
Have you checked the proxy setup etc in Edge?

Any news to this in 1607 CBB? We are experiencing SSO not working with Edge. I think Enterprise site list only will make the site to open in IE automatically, it would not solve the Edge signing problem itself, am I right?

IWA/SSO for intranet sites working fine for me in Edge browser on 1607 (domain-joined PC, intranet sites/servers are also domain-joined webservers)

This doesn't work for me at all, and I'm on 1607 with a domain joined machine connecting to domain joined webservers. I get prompted for credentials every time I use Edge. The only thing that was hinted to me from Microsoft is to upgrade our SharePoint environment, which isn't a small task and seems silly to have to do when every other browser works fine.
Having it open in IE is not a solution - at that point we decided not using Edge is the solution, rather than confusing our users by having different sites open in different browsers.
Since Edge isn't an enterprise level browser, I hope MSFT will keep IE going. If not, then we'll just have to default to Chrome which has more management options than Edge.

This is solved for me by going to Control Panel>Internet Options>Security Tab, add site to Intranet Site Zone, check the box for automatic detect intranet settings, and then enabling the group policy option for Edge to view older site.
