Hi all
i'm trying to setup kiosk machines using kiosk mode (MS Edge browser)from Win10 1809
and need to lockdown access to all other websites except for 7 approved websites for browsing.
since these kiosk machines are not under Domain, I may need to apply change to Local Policy(for each device) one by one
I had a look at the list of options available for MS Edge as shown on below screenshot, but unable to find any option to restrict access to websites
can anyone help to find an option to do this?
thanks heaps~!

You better go with Internet Explorer to block certain sites.

Hi,
According to your description, I suggest that you refer to this link to set up Windows Firewall:

Win10 1809 kiosk mode only supports MS Edge browser
and i need a option to block all websites (it could be over millions) apart from only few websites are allowed

Hi,
Setting Windows Firewall rules applies to all kinds of browsers. You can try the solution above.
Best

This thread is going on a year old, but I thought that the answers were unsatisfying. I don't know everything, but I know more than is provided here. So I'll add a few ideas.
If Edge cannot be disabled, basically everything is done at the router level or in the hosts file. The easiest way to add safety to the router is by using Clean Browsing DNS. Log into your router. (start -> run -> cmd.exe -> ipconfig -> in your internet browser, use the gateway IPv4 address) Every router is different, and you might need to call your ISP (internet service provider) for help logging in and finding the DNS setting. After that, you have to decide which DNS you want to use. If you want to be very safe, family filters will force safe search on Bing / Google. It also blocks comments on Youtube and some benign videos. PragerU has Google in court as I type this. There are less strict filters as well. Google has a DNS that blocks some content. There's also an open DNS that blocks some. Clean Browsing is the best, imo. Most routers have some blocking capabilities. Explore around in there to see what you find.
I would also try to remove MS Edge as an option. As a browser, it is very sad when it comes to parental controls. Chrome and Firefox have what I think is the best web filter: FoxFilter. That one lets you restrict keywords in combination with sites.
There are also add-ons / extensions to block sites on those browsers.
The only (relatively) safe search in my experience has been Google / Youtube with strict safe search. That and the children searches (Kidzsearch, KidRex, Kiddle). Using Foxfilter and DNS on your router, you can disable all sites and whitelist those. The whitelist is consulted before the keyword block on Foxfilter.
